Jessie Yan is a seasoned executive and academic with over 20 years of international experience across the business, nonprofit, and higher-education sectors. She currently serves as Head of the Business Management Department at the International Institute in Geneva, where she leads a diverse faculty team and oversees the department’s academic strategy, curriculum development, and student engagement.
Before joining academia, Jessie held senior leadership roles at globally recognized organizations including the World Economic Forum, the Global Alliance for Vaccines (Gavi), and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, as well as at Fortune 500 companies such as Dell and General Mills.
She also brings extensive experience in international education and student development, having worked with the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) to build global partnerships and guide admissions for international study programs. Her enduring passion lies in helping students thrive in cross-cultural and global environments.
Jessie holds an Executive Master in Global Leadership (a joint program of the World Economic Forum with Yale, Columbia, Wharton, INSEAD, and London Business School) and dual master’s degrees—an MBA and an MSc in Business Enterprise—from Oxford Brookes University. She is currently pursuing an Executive PhD at Paris Dauphine University, where her research focuses on adaptive leadership in hybrid work environments.
